Top 5 Adventure Games

I really enjoy old school point-and-click adventure gaming... unfortunately after starting this list I realized I haven't actually beaten very many so this will have to be a Top 5 with the stipulation that once I've played more this will be redone as a Top 10 list.

5. Sam & Max: Season 1 (2007) - I loved the original and if this list were longer it would probably include it. But the new and improved Sam & Max is just that... new and improved. 6 episodes = a TON of goofy game.

4. Grim Fandango (1998) - The last of the classic LucasArts adventure games. This one went 3D and did so with Mexican flair. Certainly the best in terms of atmosphere.

3. King's Quest V (1990) - Sierra used to be known for its Quest series adventure games and rightly so. They pioneered the genre and, in my opinion, this is the best of em, though opinions vary wildly on that.

2. Full Throttle (1995) - This game is painfully short but includes loads of awesome in that wee package. If only they would produce a sequel. Teases.

1. Curse of Monkey Island (1997) - 2D adventure gaming's finest. With a refined cartoon appearance. CMI is where it's at for classic point-and-click.
